Since every interstate we get on is westbound (20w, 40w, etc), Schryv decided to bring back the old "Never Eat Soggy Waffles" saying. Now every time we hit the road we say "drive waffles" or "get on 40 waffles" and it never gets old.... Clearly it doesn't take much to entertain us.
Schryv was dying for a Texas steak, so I found this gem on the food network website. It was meant to be a joke.....
Man vs. Food did an episode here: if you can eat the 72 oz. steak dinner in an hour, you get the meal for free! (Total tourist trap, and I really didn't want to eat here, but Schryver won this battle.)
Had to stop by Cadillac Ranch right outside of Amarillo. In the 1970's these old run down Cadillacs were placed here as an art installation. Now it is open to the public. Bring a can of spray paint and you can tag the cars yourself!!!
Really stunning. These are visible right off the interstate!
Of course we had to leave our mark!
Literally located IN a cow pasture!!! These gals weren't to happy to have visitors.
Friends.
Oil that is! Black gold! Texas tea!
Little mesa in the distance.
